We are an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women's basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. So far, we've won 24 NCAA championships, had 338 All-Americans, 413 Scholar All-Americans, and nine NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school. Not bad at all, but we're going for more.

FAVORITE LOCATION ON CAMPUS Weigand! WHY DID YOU CHOOSE BARRY? I chose Barry because it is a small community and a really good local school for the nursing program. WHY I AM A STUDENT AMBASSADOR I am a Student Ambassador because I love to meet new students from different areas of the world and get to have the opportunity to show them around the school and get to know a little bit about them. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT BARRY? I love that Barry is inclusive. They make sure all events on campus are not just for certain groups of people but for everyone. CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT When there is an event and Student Ambassadors are needed, I always participate. ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE YOUR HIGH SCHOOL SELF NOW THAT YOU ARE A BARRY BUCCANEER I would tell myself never to be shy to reach out to your professors for help or the Cap Advisor for resources that can be applicable to you. EXPERIENCE IN YOUR MAJOR My experience with my major is just getting started. I love lab classes because of all the fun experiments that we get to do. For example, I enjoyed my Physiology Lab the most because I loved learning and being able to assess an Electrocardiogram (EKG) and electroencephalogram (EEG), FUTURE PLANS My future plan is to be a nurse not only with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree but also a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
